Frank Sinatra Tribute Concert Comes to Fairmont State

The Fairmont State University Department of Music is excited to announce that award-winning composer and Top 10 Billboard Jazz artist, Tony DeSare, will perform a tribute to the music of Frank Sinatra with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) on Monday, February 11, at 7:30p.m. in Colebank Hall on the Fairmont State University main campus.

Dillon Bradley, Fairmont State University senior and president of the Fairmont State Student Government Association, has ben chosen as an intern for the Higher Education Policy Commission. 

As a double major in national security and intelligence and political science, he is looking forward to better understanding education and its ties with the political system.

Events will be held in Fairmont, Parkersburg, Winfield, Summersville, Inwood and Wheeling throughout January and February. The scholarships will help make attending Fairmont State more affordable and serve as a reminder of Fairmont State’s dedication to student success.

While Alabama might be where he resides, West Virginia will always be home for Fairmont State University alumnus Rusty Hutson, Jr. 

Hutson is the Chief Executive Officer of Diversified Gas & Oil and is the fourth generation in his family to work in the oil and gas industry. He began his business in 2001 while still continuing in a successful banking career as the Chief Financial Officer of Compass Financial Services at Compass Bank in Birmingham, Alabama.
